Ballance Farm Awards
We’re proud to be the Catchment Group Showcase at this year’s Ballance Farm Environment Awards Auckland Region Dinner on 26 March 2026. A local project from within our community has also entered the awards, with finalists to be confirmed following the next judging round. A hands-on “3 Steps for Life” workshop for all ages—CPR, AED training, and a live cardiac-arrest scenario. Free family-friendly event with lunch provided.
Cue Haven Blessing Ceremony & Opening
CUE Haven is now open for all to explore-a peaceful place to walk, reflect, and see what can be achieved when people work together to care for the land. There is no entry fee to visit CUE Haven.
CUE Haven is owned by the CUE Haven Community Trust (a NZ charity) and relies on volunteers and donations to maintain the reserve.

WAQA Installation
Four WAQA water-quality monitoring units were installed across the catchment to support continuous tracking of waterway health over time.
e-DNA Testing Day
A day of sampling 4 sites in the catchment.
eDNA gives a snapshot of the biodiversity found in the waterway.

Join us on Saturday April 5th to have a deep dive into how eDNA can support conservation efforts and catchment restoration in our beautiful catchment.
This FREE workshop will include a session at Ahuroa Fire Station and then a practical session at a nearby stream.

The Forest Bridge Trust is offering to the community free Kiwi Avoidance Training for your dogs in support of our local kiwi populations.
This training is offered by The Forest Bridge Trust supported by Rodney Local Board and kindly hosted at Streamland Suffolk. It is a short 10 minute session designed to teach your dog(s) to avoid kiwi.
